Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-07-13

Effective Date: July 13, 2026

Platform: Guest2Owner Professional Edition   Operator: Guest2Owner

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Guest2Owner and the operator of this installation of Guest2Owner Professional Edition collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. The platform operator must revise this policy so it accurately reflects its actual configuration, providers, jurisdiction, and business practices.

2. Information Collected

The platform may collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, account credentials, roles, property assignments, reservation dates, guest counts, pricing, fees, taxes, discounts, messages, call and SMS metadata, rental agreements, signatures, audit records, uploaded documents, property information, support requests, IP addresses, browser and device information, session identifiers, login history, and operational logs. Payment providers may collect payment-card, bank, identity, and transaction information; the platform may receive tokens, status, amount, and limited transaction details rather than complete card numbers.

3. Sources

Information may come directly from administrators, owners, guests, applicants, and support contacts; from connected providers such as payment, communications, electronic-signature, calendar, email, storage, and hosting services; and automatically from use of the platform.

4. Uses

Information may be used to create and secure accounts; operate listings, availability, quotes, reservations, payments, agreements, communications, owner tools, and reports; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain audit trails; enforce legal terms; comply with law; improve reliability; and protect users and the platform.

5. Disclosure

Information may be disclosed to property owners and authorized staff; guests and counterparties as needed for a reservation; service providers that host, process payments, send communications, provide electronic signatures, store data, or support operations; professional advisers; transaction counterparties in a merger, financing, or sale; and authorities or others when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights and safety, or investigate misconduct. Personal information is not sold merely because the platform uses service providers, but the operator must disclose any actual sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising practice required by law.

6. Cookies and Technical Data

The platform may use session cookies and similar technologies necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and operation. If the operator adds analytics, advertising, or other nonessential tracking, it must update this policy and provide any notices and choices required by law.

7. Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for reservations, contracts, accounting, taxes, disputes, security, backups, legal obligations, and legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary by record type and configuration. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove data from protected backups or records that must be retained.

8. Security

The platform includes administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Operators and users are responsible for secure hosting, updates, backups, access controls, passwords, provider credentials, and incident response. Suspected compromise should be reported promptly to support@example.com.

9. Choices and Rights

Depending on location, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or appeal. Requests may be submitted to support@example.com. Identity and authority may be verified, and lawful exceptions may apply. Marketing and messaging opt-outs must be honored through the method stated in the communication or by contacting the operator.

10. Children

The platform is intended for adults managing or booking lodging and is not directed to children. Users must not knowingly submit children's information except where necessary and lawful for a reservation and handled by an authorized adult.

11. International and Third-Party Services

Providers may process data in other states or countries under their own terms and safeguards. Links and integrations are not controlled by Guest2Owner, and users should review provider privacy notices.

12. Changes and Contact

This policy may be updated by publishing a new version and effective date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. Questions and privacy requests may be directed to support@example.com, Not provided, or Not provided.
